Timeline
Here’s my quick-and-easy timeline to the Apollo missions. The two green buttons at the top right click between a “event” view and “card” view — just pick the one that works easier for you.
Smithsonian landing map
Want to know just where on the moon everybody landed? The map below, courtesy of the National Air and Space Museum’s website, shows that all the landings took place fairly close to the lunar equator on the “near side” of the moon — locations within easy radio reach of Earth. Sites near the equator also took less effort to reach than sites closer to the poles.
